Who we are

About Virtual Service Assists

One team in Ghana, set up around a single kind of client: UK accounting and tax practices that need reliable hands on their admin and compliance work.

Our focus

Built around UK practice work

We chose one market and learned its forms, portals and deadlines in depth.

ASAH-ADU VIRTUAL SOLUTIONS is the registered operating name behind Virtual Service Assists. Everything the team does is shaped by how UK practices work: customer due diligence under the Money Laundering Regulations, agent access to HMRC, Companies House filings, the Making Tax Digital quarterly cycle, and the January self assessment rush.

Specialising this narrowly means the team already knows what a confirmation statement needs before it can be filed, how agent authorisation requests reach a client, and why every document in an AML file needs a date. Your staff can go straight to reviewing the work.

Who we work with

  • Independent tax advisers and sole practitioners who need dependable back-office help without taking on an employee.
  • Small and mid-sized accounting practices where senior people should be on advisory and review work.
  • Practices taking on more clients that want admin capacity to grow with them, without recruiting for every new batch of work.
Time zone

Why being on GMT matters to a UK practice

Ghana keeps Greenwich Mean Time all year and never changes its clocks. That puts our working day alongside yours for the whole year, give or take an hour in summer.

UK clock change dates from GOV.UK, "When do the clocks change?". Ghana stays on GMT throughout.
PeriodUK timeWhen it is 09:00 in London, in Accra it is
25 October 2026 to 28 March 2027GMT09:00 (same time)
28 March 2027 to 31 October 2027BST (GMT+1)08:00 (one hour behind)

Questions answered in your day

A query sent at 10:00 London time reaches someone who is at their desk, so it can be dealt with that day.

Live calls during your day

We can join a Teams or Zoom meeting during your office hours and talk through a file while it is open.

Portals open while we work

HMRC and Companies House services are available during our working day, so checks and preparation happen while your reviewers are still around.

How we work

Five working principles

These apply to every engagement, whatever the size of the practice or the tasks in scope.

  1. Your systems

We work in your practice software and portals through logins you issue. Client records stay where they already live, and you can remove access whenever you choose.

  2. Your sign-off

We prepare, chase, track and draft. Your team keeps professional judgement, AML risk decisions, review and submission under your own agent credentials.

  3. Written scope

Before any access is set up, we agree in writing which tasks we do, what data we handle for them and how work is reported back.

  4. Same-day attention

Urgent items are picked up the same day. Planned peaks, such as the run-up to 31 January, are agreed with you in advance.

  5. Continuity

Dual-fibre internet and backup power keep work going through local outages, so your deadlines do not depend on the local grid.

Clear boundaries

What stays with your practice

Being plain about limits protects your practice with its supervisor and keeps responsibilities where the rules put them.

We do

  • Prepare filings, returns and appeal drafts from your records
  • Collect and organise AML evidence and run checks in your tool
  • Chase clients for documents, codes and signatures
  • Track deadlines and report progress each week
  • Support Companies House work under your ACSP registration

We do not

  • Give tax or accounting advice to your clients
  • Make AML risk assessments or client acceptance decisions
  • Submit anything under our own credentials
  • Act as an ACSP or verify identities for Companies House
  • Change your fees, engagement terms or processes without your agreement

Questions

Questions about who we are

Who is behind Virtual Service Assists?

Virtual Service Assists is the trading name of ASAH-ADU VIRTUAL SOLUTIONS, a business based in Ghana. It runs as one team dedicated to UK accounting and tax practices, handling admin and compliance preparation while each practice keeps its professional and regulatory responsibilities.

Where is the team based, and what time zone do you use?

The team is in Ghana, which uses Greenwich Mean Time all year with no daylight saving. Our hours match London exactly from late October to late March and run one hour behind London during British Summer Time, so the working day overlaps almost entirely.

Why focus only on UK accounting practices?

Practice admin has its own vocabulary, portals and deadlines. Working for one kind of client means the team already understands customer due diligence files, agent authorisations, confirmation statements and MTD quarters, so your staff do less explaining and more reviewing.

Are you a UK-registered company?

ASAH-ADU VIRTUAL SOLUTIONS is a Ghanaian business. Its registration details are listed in the company facts table on this page. UK practices engage us as an overseas B2B supplier, and work is carried out inside the practice's own UK systems.

How do we check that you are a real business?

You can call us on +233 24 410 8277, email info@virtualserviceassists.com, view our LinkedIn company page, and ask for the registration details in the facts table above. On the scoping call we are happy to walk through how access, data handling and reporting will work for your practice.
