Cookie Policy

Which cookies virtualserviceassists.com uses, why, and how to accept, refuse or change your choice at any time. Last updated: 8 October 2026.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage and scripts that collect information about your visit, work in a comparable way, and this policy covers them too. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) requires us to ask for your consent before setting any cookie that is not strictly necessary for the site to work.

This website is run by ASAH-ADU VIRTUAL SOLUTIONS trading as Virtual Service Assists. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data more generally.

The two types of cookie we use

Strictly necessary

These keep the site working and secure and remember your cookie choice. They do not need your consent, and you cannot switch them off through our cookie settings, although you can block them in your browser (some parts of the site may then not work properly).

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found us, so we can improve the site. Google Analytics only loads, and its cookies are only set, after you click to accept analytics cookies. If you refuse or ignore the banner, it does not run. We do not use advertising or social media tracking cookies.

GA4 cookie names and durations from Google's documentation, "Google Analytics cookie usage on websites". Duration is the default expiry, renewed on each visit.

Google Analytics cookies are set on our own domain (first-party cookies), but the information they help collect is sent to Google, which processes it on our behalf and may store it outside the UK. You can read how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

When a visitor is logged in to the WordPress dashboard, WordPress sets its own login cookies. These apply only to our site administrators.

Other services that load on our pages

Some parts of the site load files from other services. Based on a check of the site's code, these do not set cookies on visitors, but they do receive basic technical information such as your IP address so they can deliver the file:

  • Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces used on the site from Google's servers;
  • WPForms, the plugin that runs our contact form; it sends what you type to us when you submit the form;
  • Elementor, the page builder used to display the site, which may use your browser's local storage for display settings.

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. If you withdraw consent, Google Analytics stops running on your next page view. To remove analytics cookies already set, delete them in your browser as described below.

You can also stop Google Analytics on all websites with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Blocking or deleting cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies. The settings are usually found here:

  • Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies or Delete browsing data;
  • Safari (Mac): Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data;
  • Safari (iPhone and iPad): Settings, then Apps, then Safari, then Advanced, then Website Data;
  • Firefox: Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data;
  • Edge: Settings, then Privacy, search, and services, then Delete browsing data.

Menu names change between browser versions, so check your browser's help pages if these do not match. Blocking all cookies may stop some websites working properly.

Changes to this policy

If we add or remove cookies or services, we will update this page and the date below, and ask for your consent again where needed.
